San Francisco Bay may have a reputation as a stern teacher, but skipper Pauline Courtois (FRA) and her Match in Pink by Normandy Elite Team proved to be quick studies at the 2026 World Sailing Women’s Match Racing World Championship.

Nearly 90 sailors from 11 nations for the last of the 13 events in the European series. Eight races in conditions ranging from light breeze to 18 knots, with strong Italian results overall and across the age categories.

The 63rd 5.5 Metre World Championship was opened Sunday night at the Yacht Club of Greece in Piraeus, Athens. It is the first time ever that the class has hosted any of its major events in Greece.
