Charlie Dalin, the winner of the last Vendée Globe singlehanded around the world race, has died aged 42.

World Sailing, and sailors everywhere, are mourning the passing of the truly inspirational Charlie Dalin, 2025 Rolex World Sailor of the Year, Vendée Globe record breaker and two-time IMOCA Globe Series winner.

It is with deep sadness that the Vendée Globe organisation has learned of the passing of Charlie Dalin, winner of the tenth edition of the Vendée Globe.
