49 Dragons from 12 nations have gathered in Cowes for the 2026 Edinburgh Cup and UK Dragon Grand Prix. Four days of racing for the championship commence tomorrow, Tuesday 18 August, but the event kicked off with a very special one-off celebration race.

After the fun of the Club’s Cadet Week, it was time for more open competition of Kippford Week. With crews travelling to Kippford from as far as Aberdeen and the English Midlands, they joined the locals on Sunday 8th for the week’s briefing.

This year’s J70 Regatta run by Bembridge SC coincided with the second day of the Club Regatta for the second year running. Certainly makes it busier on the Committee Boat and also on the launches getting everyone out to their boats at low water!

Emirates Team New Zealand wrapped up a two week long test block in Auckland on Saturday – enjoying a near optimal weather window.

The Royal Corinthian Yacht Club in Burnham on Crouch proved to be a perfect venue for the 2026 Allen Snipe Class National Championship; great sailing, camping and amazing hospitality.

The Final Series got underway at the 2026 ILCA 6 Youth World Championships on Monday, with two races completed for all fleets on Aarhus Bay. Both Delta flags were up by 10.00, allowing the sailors to head straight onto the water.

Two more races on day 2 of the 2026 Noble Marine RS200 UK Nationals where  Ian Martin and Emma Hivey maintain their lead. Martin and Hivey (2, 2) have still not won a race, but they have the most consistent scoreline, two more second place finishes and a 3 pt discard  giving them a 5…

On Day 9 of the RORC Round Britain and Ireland Race, Jens Kellinghusen’s Ker 56 Varuna 6 became the second monohull to complete the 1,805-nautical-mile course. All bar, three boats have rounded Muckle Flugga and class battles rage on in the marathon race.

Two races were sailed on the second day of the Noble Marine National Championship, with the day sponsored by FM Sailing.

The day began with light, fluky and very flaky winds – the sort of breeze that makes 73 Mirror crews stare at their tell-tales like they’re trying to decode ancient scripts.
