After completing five circumnavigations and turning thousands of ordinary people into ocean racers, a Clipper 70 (one of the Clipper Race’s ocean racing yachts) is beginning a new chapter.

This year we have Allen Brothers kindly sponsoring our Traveller Series which includes the Inland Championships at Rutland Water, Starcross SC TT Open 6/7 June, Royal Yorkshire YC TT Open 18/19 July and culminating at the National Championships.

The HISC x Magic Marine Optimist Open Meeting at Hayling Island Sailing Club delivered a fantastic weekend of racing across three fleets, with over 110 sailors from clubs across the country competing in challenging and memorable conditions.

The fourth event in the 2026 Craftinsure Vines Series took place on Saturday 16th May at Rickmansworth SC. The Troy Trophy was first presented in 1961, making this anniversary year for the Firefly class, the 65th year of the Rickmansworth Firefly open.

Thirteen Challenger sailors, and many volunteers, gathered at Farmoor Reservoir for the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights English Open Challenger Championship which took place during the weekend 16-17 May.

Stokes Bay Sailing Club hosted their first ILCA open meeting for several years and were rewarded with an entry of 33 boats.

The Streaker open meeting at Waveney & Oulton Broad YC (WOBYC) was a shifty and tactical affair! It counted towards the Streaker HD Sails Southern Paddle Series and the East Anglian Series and attracted a fleet of 17 boats including 10 visitors.
