One race today, with a new wind direction, a steady 8-10knots from the southwest, with a long beat against the tide. With that the fleet was well behaved and we got away clean on the first attempt.

707 Nationals at Port Edgar
A competitive fleet of 22 boats from around the country, 14 races over 4 days, 6 knot to 25 knot races, complex tides and only 2 discards made this a very challenging but enjoyable championship for the evergreen 707 class.

So far the conditions on Lake Lipno have provided for excellent and challenging sailing, however being surrounded by hills and mountains can mean that the winds are shifty and can be light at time, and this proved to be the case on day 3.
