Day 2 of the Star Bacardi Cup at Biscayne Bay finished with a remarkable repeat finish for the top 3

It feels like my feet didn’t hit the ground at the RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show. The event, held on the penultimate weekend of February in Farnborough, traditionally fires the starting signal for the UK season, and was as busy as I ever remember it.

After a week of light wind forecasts, the isobars closed up on Friday evening and we had 15 knots gusting 20 for Race 1, with 36 Toppers on the start line. There were twenty five Topper 5.3s, nine 4.2s, and two 6.4s.
