There are many faces to a typical day at Cowes Week. Wet and windy. Wet and windless. Sunny and windless. Sunny and a perfect breeze.

Day 2 dawned at the Noble Marine Comet Trio National Championship held at Exe Sailing Club with the promise of a lighter breeze with ESE 8/9 knots forecasted.

Finishing with a second place just behind Hispania, the Spanish Navy’s ORC 52 skippered by King Felipe, Mauro Gestri’s Italian team on Vudu laid to rest a full year of hurt when they clinched the Abanca ORC 0 title today.

After several days of strong winds and disrupted racing, conditions were milder on Aarhus Bay as the Final Series got underway at the 2026 ILCA 4 Youth World Championships.

After some delay and a bit of paddling the fleet arrived at Hill Head for a committee boat start. A perfect sea breeze filled in as forecast and a navigational race track set.

Being part of the North Sails Cowes Week 200th Regatta is a proud moment for the RS21 International Class, with the fleet racing alongside more than 600 boats at one of sailing’s most iconic events.

There is something special about taking a boat out of the Bristol Channel and into offshore waters. During the last week in June four Portishead Cruising Club boats made the epic voyage across the Irish Sea to race in Cork Week.

Five Redwings and seven One-Designs started on time from Janson in a brisk (12 to 15 knots) SE’erly breeze. The course for the former was Tara, Derrick twice to port finishing at Under Tyne.

After a successful nations championship in Looe the Redwing fleet descended on Llys-Y-Fran reservoir in beautiful Pembrokeshire, over the weekend of August 1/2nd for their Inland event.

The new crew of Hanuman recently spent a week training in Palma along with the beautiful J Class yacht’s new owner, Italian Giovanni Lombardi Stronati.
