New leaders after day 3 of the 2026 Fireball Worlds at Torbay

Discard Day duly shuffled the fleet on the third day of the 2026 Fireball Worlds at Torbay. The new leaders all dropped a maximum point discard after six races.

New leader is DJ Edwards and Vyv Townend who added a 5 and 1 to lead with 12 pts, second Georgia Booth and Oliver Davenport, recovering from even further down the fleet with a 1, 2, are now tied on 20 pts with Simon Kings and Jono Loe after their 2 and 6 score.

In fourth place are Dave Hall and Paul Constable after a 3 and 4 with 31 pts, fifth are former leaders Peter Gray and Richard Pepperdine, a 19 and 12 putting them on 32 pts.

Rounding out the top six are Heather Macfarlane and Chris Payne of Australia, winners of race 4 who have 48 pts.

Ten races scheduled, lay day Wednesday, racing completed on Friday 31 July.
