The 49er, 49erFX and Nacra17 Worlds moved to the Final Series of seven races, before they compete in the Medal Series Races Sunday – Brits in top 5 in all three Classes

The second day of racing at the 2.4mR World Championship delivered even lighter Ora winds than on the opening day, setting the stage for another technically demanding afternoon on Lake Garda.

The Carey Olsen Jersey Regatta swansong proved to be a story of two halves, this year. Originally scheduled for 12-14 September, high winds caused this ‘flagship’ event to be postponed to 26-28 September when conditions were certainly more benign.

The final round of the series is now complete. Six of the planned seven events took place. Unfortunately, Hampton Court had to cancel but hope to be back in 2026.

Last weekend (4th – 5th October) marked the conclusion of the 2025 UK Grand Slam. With some of the World Championship berths still undecided, this final event was as hotly contested as all of events throughout the seven round series.

The much-anticipated 2025 RS Aero UK Women’s Championships were held on the weekend of the 26/27th September at Notts County Sailing Club. Competitors arrived bright and early on the Saturday morning to a nice light breeze and overcast conditions.

A scattering of top South African sailors will be converging at the Vaal Dam to compete in the annual Flying 15 Nationals on the 18 and 19 October, hosted by Aeolians in the North Bay.

During the Technology and Innovation Workshop dedicated to the presentation of the components of the first Ferrari elettrica, the Hypersail team unveiled a preview of the technologies for energy management on the boat.

Caught at the back end of the latest storm ‘AMY’ it seemed highly unlikely anyone would turn up on the Sunday morning. So everyone else also thought the same too. A pleasant surprise for all when a good handful of the hardened regulars took their chance.
