Saturday was moving day for the Solo fleet, 43 competitors arriving to a sun-drenched North Berwick from three of the four corners of the UK. The forecast is slightly foreboding.

26 dinghies and 9 cruisers took part in the Lyme Regis Regatta which was held over weekend 2nd & 3rd August.

There’s something new going on in the Childerley household at this Cowes Week. With Stuart getting back to competitive racing for the first time since suffering a life changing injury, his wife Lisa, daughter Abbey and son Ben are also racing together.

After a couple of days of waiting for the wind, Day 3 eventually provided the goods to end the wait for some official competition as the Slalom X got under way during the early evening in 15-18 knots of wind.

Given the forecast for Monday, the Race Officer scheduled three races for day one of the championship on Sunday.

The Lincoln Radio Sailing summer series is white hot competition, even at peak holiday time we had 13 skippers turn out for round 8, boosted with the welcome visitors of Ben and Hayden Wallace from Huntingdon.
